Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Foot Health Professional and a Podiatrist?

Foot Health Professionals have studied for a diploma in foot health and can treat common foot conditions as well as providing routine care for high-risk patients including those with diabetes. They are not HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered but may be a member of a professional body, undergo regular professional development and hold appropriate insurance to practice. I am a Foot Health Professional.

A Podiatrist (or Chiropodist) is qualified to diagnose and treat more complex foot problems. This can include making custom orthotics or performing nail surgery or other treatments requiring local anaesthetic. They are HCPC registered.

How often should I get my feet treated?

This will depend on your individual circumstances. I advise 6-8 week intervals between routine appointments.

What areas do you cover?

I am based in Knowle, BS4 and can provide home visits in the surrounding areas including Totterdown, Bedminster, Whitchurch, Hengrove, Brislington and other areas of south and central Bristol. Clinic appointments are in Knowle and Chipping Sodbury High Street. If you are unsure if I cover your area please give me a call.
